- Personally our religious preferences should change with changing World/Environment. We should stop polluting our beaches ( beaches are already having lot of trouble due to plastics) and go for reusable Ganesh idols made of brass/wood. Or just go ahead and use pure clay (no wax added) and on the day of Visarjan immerse in a bucket of water and add that clayey water to your garden/potted plants that would be ecofrinedly ! Think over it, we need to save oceans for our kids and their future.
