Best way to water roadside plants !
Wish we had this facility in our Country......
I feel bad for all the trees on the road which are totally wilted w/o water. There was very limited rain this year so all of them look dull.
I do this and hope someone of you who stop by my post will consider doing this.
While I pick my son from school (I do not drive,walk) I take a small bottle of water to drizzle the plants on our sidewalk (there are many yellowtrumpet bush in our community) .
My son uses his left over- water to irrigate few more !
This is what we have been doing for the past 2 months. Together we all achieve more ! We need plants/shrubs/trees to make oxygen for us. With ever growing population making more oxygen is essential, only plants/trees can do this. So please do think over and act accordingly !

Fatal light awareness program (FLAP): Save bird lives !
If you happen to live/office in a high rise buildings consider switching off the lights when not needed. Night time birds use moon/stars to find their food/way home, however artificial lights seem to confuse them! So switch off the lights and save the birds from death.

Being on time to school!
Had been wanting to share this tip as everyday morning, see many kids rushing late to school.
Two days before saw a scary scene where a sixth grader was about to be hit by a car at the intersection. He was rushing at a great speed in his bike to school. He was running late so he did not notice the car at the intersection ( it was a blind corner).
The driver was a smart guy he quickly slammed the brake luckily nothing happened, as a pedestrian I was shocked to see the scene.
We need to educate our kids with these tips to avoid any mishap at the beginning of the day.

Tiara as entry door wreath!
Hi all,
A friend moved out of town, she ended up giving me a lot of tiara's. Got the idea to make a door wreath.
Materials:
3 tiara's (fastened them together with clear tape)
Align the roses facing outwards ( see picture)
That's it you are done hang/use clear tape to affix it to the door, based on your preference.
Here we go door wreath !

Just covering your face with dupatta/handkerchief while driving is not going to help!

Monginis cake base board _Upcyle
A real upcycle ! Folks who shop at Monginis are aware of the cake base board provided along with their cake, used this to make a wall decor.
Materials needed:
Any picture of your choice
Monginis cake base board ( after the cake is all gone, wipe it clean with a damp cloth)
poster colors
paint brush
I used a white paper to sketch the Durga face, rest is self explanatory!

Time for some DIY !
Dish drainer make over: I wanted a dish drainer with legs, as that helps in easy dish drying/draining.
However, ended up buying this, in raining days it was hard as the dishes would not dry 😒😒😒
Being an environmentalist, concerned about our environment and the plastics problem did not want to discard . Hence performed a simple diy on it, introduced some legs to this dish drainer using deodorant caps and hot glue.
Materials needed:
4 deodorant caps ( I used Nivea's)
Hot glue
Here is what it looked !

Alphabets
To make learning alphabets, thought this idea will work. Personally feel that toddlers get happy/interested on seeing food pictures.
Therefore, wrote the alphabets that either start with a food/fruit/vegetable My guess turned out to be right with my 3 year old. While we read I make a mention of upper/lower case of each alphabets.
He learns them happily and now recognizes all the alphabets/words associated. If he cooperates will post a video later !
